The Stitches Group

The Ferry and Moss site is a work in progress, created to make room for exchanging ideas and encouraging experiments with different materials and techniques in sustainable ways. Thanks to Sierra, we are now all set with an email address, a business card, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest accounts, and a Ferry and Moss website containing individual gallery pages, a blog, and a future store. 

The weekly stitching group that Joanne described in the last blog has included people working on crochet, knitting, quilting, patching, mending, embroidery, and a chef’s costume for Hallowe’en. Several people have started stitching decorative panels on the backs of denim jackets, and we are finding that sharing techniques and ideas is inspiring and generates energy for future work and activities. We enjoy comfortable talking interspersed with quiet!

These are some of the results of our ongoing activity
